This type of dryer is used for heat sensitive products or where solvent is to be recovered. The operation consists of forming a film on drum surface with applicator roller which gets dried in a single rotation of the drum and is scraped off as dry product. The dry material falls into receivers and is removed periodically. The solvent which is evaporated during drying operation is condensed continuously in a suitable condenser and collected in the receiver.
